EUROGLIDE 1996: July 18th - July 28th
Unlike the previous two editions, the 1996 edition was a
Super Triangle. As we learnt from the out and return to Nogaro,
the south of France is likely to be packed with clouds, due to air-masses
flowing inbetween the Mediteranean sea and the Atlantic ocean. We chose the
turnpoints Angouleme in France and Wasserkuppe in Germany.
We had a magnificent start. On the first day, a few teams got as far as Montargis,
which is about 530 km. On the second day we even had some teams on the first turnpoint.
This was to be the best race since we started with Euroglide in 1993.
After six days Karel Termaat finished at Eindhoven, being the first to complete the whole distance.
